On the last 5th, loveUK received a visit from Joseph Coote-Cowling, responsible for the recruitment department of the University of Westminster, from London.
In addition to a conversation that strengthened the partnership with the #loveUK, the English representative also made a presentation about the university to interested parties who attended the event.
Joseph said that the areas of Law, Administration, Social Sciences, Computing, Arts, Design and Architecture are some of the main specialties covered in this traditional university originated from the historic Polytechnic School in London, which in the 60s had as students none other than the Pink Floyd members. Today, in addition to the headquarters on Regent Street, the institution has a complete infrastructure distributed in six campuses in the central region of the English capital – each one specializing in one of the areas of knowledge.
For those of you who were unable to attend the event but are interested in knowing more about the university, we have an exclusive interview we did with him below:

loveUK: What are the expectations of the University of Westminster for Brazilian students in the coming years
Joseph: Quite high. We already have many Brazilian students who have been performing excellently in courses such as Marketing, Communication, Administration and we are open to an increasing number of Brazilian students, who can be sure that they will find great opportunities to achieve great achievements by studying at our institution. .
loveUK: What advice would you give to a Brazilian student who wants to study at Westminster?
Joseph: My advice is: apply as soon as possible - so that you can guarantee your places - and that you have your passports prepared to start the procedures for obtaining a student visa. To find out more about our courses you can watch our webinars on the internet, visit our website, social media, become part of our online community or even visit us in London. Another tip is to watch a lot of British TV shows and series on the internet, so that you can get more and more familiar with the British accent. The British series are a little longer, but they are usually very interesting and they value a lot for quality. In addition to contact with England, be prepared to make friends from all over the world, as London is a multicultural city where you will certainly have an excellent experience. Any questions you can contact us by email and in Brazil you can also count on the full support of loveUK, which is ready to help you with all the information.
loveUK: Which university programs, in your opinion, might be the most interesting for Brazilians
Joseph: I believe many. Brazilians tend to have great prospects at our university. The Masters in Marketing and Communication, which I mentioned above, is one of the ones I recommend the most, as Brazilians always perform very well. Administration and Finance as well. We offer very innovative and stimulating MBA courses, as they mix theory with practice. Whatever your field, the University of Westminster has excellent courses for you.
