Canada is one of the main destinations sought by Brazilians, not only for language courses, but also for undergraduate, graduate and employment courses, which makes it possible to stay in the destination for longer.
According to the most recent data from the Selo Belta (Brazilian Educational & Language Travel Association) survey, Canada has remained the most sought-after country by Brazilians for study abroad, a position it has held for 15 years. It's no accident that Canada is such a sought-after destination: the country has one of the highest standards of living in the world, and the Canadian people are recognized for their friendliness to foreigners, who represent around 20% of the country's total population.
In addition, in recent years, the entry of Brazilians has been facilitated and encouraged by Canada. Recently, Brazil was included in the Student Direct Stream (SDS), an accelerated processing program for student visas. With acceptance to a Higher Education Institution in Canada and meeting all the required requirements, visa processing is estimated to take 20 calendar days! Another interesting highlight is that, at the end of their period of study in public institutions in the country, the international student is eligible to apply for a visa that allows full-time work – for a period that varies according to the duration of the course that has been completed. It's called the PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit).
Canadian universities are widely recognized internationally, with three institutions ranked in the Top 50 Global in the most recent editions of the Times Higher Education and Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings. We have partner universities in different provinces from British Columbia to Ontario!
