The scholarship Chevening not only does it ensure that scholarship holders undertake a master's degree in the UK with all expenses paid, but it also gives them the opportunity to join a network of great leaders and professionals who are making a difference in their community and country.
Do you want to join this incredible network and do a master's degree in the land of the Queen? Then follow these six tips on how to do it application that can bring you closer to realizing that dream!

1. Understand the type of profile that Chevening is looking for Chevening, in a post on social media, defined the profile they are looking for: “we are looking for individuals with ambition, leadership potential, networking skills, and strong academic backgrounds“That is, you will need to demonstrate, through the essays of the application, which has:
– Ambition – where do you want to go?
– Leadership potential – How can you demonstrate that you have the potential to lead and influence others?
– Networking – How do you enhance your networking and use your connections in a positive way?
– Academic background – Are you a dedicated student and can you explain how a master’s degree can make a difference in your career?
Therefore, if you have this profile, it is important that you demonstrate it clearly in your application.

2. Your examples should be well structured and objective. The way you talk about your examples can make all the difference in your essays. They must be clear, objective and demonstrate your qualities and profile.
How to do this? My tip is the STAR method. According to this technique, for an example to be effective, its narrative must address 4 aspects: situation (S), task (T), action (A) and result (R).
As an example, in essay In leadership, your example may involve an attitude of yours that caused a positive change in a certain reality. So, following the technique, you will describe what the reality was (S), why it was important for it to be changed (T), what your action was to change that scenario (A) and what was the result of this attitude (R).
Of course, using this technique is not a determining factor in your selection, but it can help you a lot when writing your texts. The technique can also be applied to personal statement that you will write for universities and for eventual interviews!

3. Write, write, write It is possible that, when you start applying for the scholarship, you get stuck when writing the questions. essays or get confused, not knowing what to write first.
The Chevening application is, above all, an excellent exercise in self-knowledge! It requires you to write about important issues, but ones that we don't always think about in depth. I had difficulty, at first, talking about networking. It was only when I wrote about this quality for Chevening that I realized what a wonderful network of people I was able to build and how important it is for my career.
So, to help you break through this barrier, my tip is: write down everything that comes to mind. Whenever you remember an example – on the street, when you wake up or during dinner – write it down. Make sure to reduce the text to the maximum number of words later, because in the beginning the important thing is to gather the most relevant information in a document.

4. Review your application After completing your scholarship application, review all of the text and information before submitting the final version. It is very important that all of the information is correct and complete.
Furthermore, it is very important that the text is clear and free of grammatical and spelling errors. Ask a friend who is good at English to read your text and analyze its coherence and writing.

5. Take advantage of the information available on the internet You have access to a world of information through your computer, tablet and smartphone: take advantage! Some of the materials available can help you (a lot!) in writing your essays. essays and also in preparing for the interview.
