
There's a good opportunity for those who want to study in the UK! Durham University's Geography department, in partnership with Collingwood College and the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience (IHRR), offers scholarship of £33,000 (for accommodation, visa, tuition and financial support during the course period) to international students who want to pursue a scientific (MSc) or social (MA) master's degree in Geographical Risk.
The scholarship will only cover one student and those interested must apply until April 15th of this year for master's degrees focused, for example, on Risk, Science and Communication; European Security; Spatial and Temporal Dimensions of Hazard; Hydro-Meteorological Hazards. The courses last one year, starting in 2018.
Applicants must demonstrate that they intend to use the skills and knowledge acquired in the course for international and humanitarian purposes, specifying on the scholarship application form how they intend to implement this.

The scholarship may require the student to sporadically present their research and work at university events and/or have texts published on university platforms.
