7 reasons why Warwick's MBA is one of the best in the world

we already talked about how the MBA (Master of Business Administration) differs from other masters and specializations, being one of the most prestigious and recognized courses in the world, where students must present very specific characteristics, such as at least three or four years of experience in the job.

The MBA prepares professionals for all types of situations in the most varied sectors of companies and businesses, going beyond the well-known teaching model offered by other master's degrees.

In the United Kingdom, excellence and tradition in teaching precede the fame of most courses offered by universities. And for MBAs it couldn't be different. The best course in the land of the queen – third best in Europe and 18th in the top 100 in the world, according to The Economist ranking – belongs to the University of Warwick, a loveUK partner.

Warwick Business School (WBS) forms global leaders. Its full-time program, lasting 12 months, offers international travel, constant mentoring, working with recognized companies and integration with a group of students from the most diverse industrial sectors and cultures.

Speak in person with a Warwick representative and ask any questions you may have.

“We look for true leaders who embrace challenges, demonstrate creative thinking and inspire change – both in themselves and in others. It is essential to stand out intellectually and show interpersonal and communication skills, be motivated, creative, mature and display leadership qualities to enter the WBS. You also need to prove your academic ability and ability to work effectively in a team,” says Natalie Meade, the school's Business Development Manager.

But what makes the WBS among the best in the world? We have gathered seven main reasons for this:

1. Personalized professional guidance

Even before entering the MBA, the student has the CareersPlus team, made up of market leaders, who guide him throughout the course and a little later on questions and doubts he may have, such as creating his own business, moving sector or take the next step to consolidate in your area. These professionals will provide the necessary assistance to achieve the students' goals.

2. Part-time experience in London

On campus and in the city itself, MBA students can participate in part-time programs for executives, taking advantage of learning by doing it.

3. Experience in other cultures

During the course, students must spend a week at a partner institution outside the UK, in order to prepare them to operate in any business context, anywhere in the world, in addition to having a diverse network. The program has already taken students to business schools in the United States and China.

4. Constant involvement with the business world

In two opportunities of the course, students will work on projects based on large clients, allowing them to develop practical consultancy, stakeholder management and influence skills through direct experience.

5. Strong teaching staff

WBS brings together world-leading academics and senior business professionals to impart their knowledge to students, the so-called Professors of Practice. Most of the professors are acclaimed worldwide, with research and works that precede their fame.

The experience, combined with its global networks and successful career development, gives students the opportunity to build ties with international organizations such as Amazon, Gallup and Capco.

6. Access to other business schools

Warwick is a member of the Partnership in International Management (PIM), allowing the student to participate in the selection process of business schools from other countries. After completing the MBA, it is possible to spend up to four months in these other institutions, gathering even more knowledge.

7. Constant international contact

In addition to being able to access foreign institutions, Warwick is an international university, with more than 45,000 students from 140 countries. This allows everyone to interact with a diverse student community full of networking possibilities.

WBS is also the first UK business school to receive triple recognition from the world's largest educational management associations: Association of MBAs (AMBA), European Foundation for Management Development (EQUIS) and Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

To apply for the course, Natalie explains that it is necessary to have at least three years of professional experience in business, an overall minimum grade of 7 or 8, logic tests (applied by the university itself or the so-called Entrance Exam for Graduates in Business – GMAT or GRE). “We also welcome applicants who do not have the academic qualifications but are exceptional, with some proof of having achieved a skill.”
